Dr. Garrett Wood proudly continues his family's veterinary legacy with special interests in surgery, chemotherapy, and ultrasound.
Dr. Garrett Wood is the son of Old Dominion Animal Hospital's founder, Dr. Charles Wood, and proudly carries on his family's veterinary legacy. He completed his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree at the Virginia-Maryland College of Veterinary Medicine at Virginia Tech in 2013 and returned immediately to join Old Dominion Animal Hospital.
Dr. Wood has special interests in veterinary surgery, chemotherapy, and ultrasound technology. He is passionate about advancing patient care through both medical expertise and modern diagnostic tools, always striving for the best outcomes for his patients.
Dr. Wood is the owner of our Crozet location, where he practices full time, and is dedicated to ensuring the continued growth and excellence of the practice. He lives in Keswick with his wife, Kati, and their son, Alex. Their family also includes two dogsβBoone, a German Shorthaired Pointer, and Bentley, an Aussiedoodleβas well as two cats, Wally and Theodore. Outside of veterinary medicine, Dr. Wood enjoys traveling and cheering on college football.





Co-Owner, Crozet Location
Dr. Allison Kramer is dedicated to compassionate care for every patient she treats.
Dr. Allison Kramer earned her undergraduate degree in Biology from James Madison University before completing her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine at Virginia Tech in 2007. She joined the Old Dominion Animal Hospital team shortly after graduation and has been a valued member ever since.
Dr. Kramer has special interests in small animal dentistry, surgery, and internal medicine, and is passionate about providing high-quality, compassionate care to every patient she treats.
Dr. Kramer lives in Crozet with her husband Jeff, their two daughters, and a lively household of two dogs and two cats. She enjoys spending time outdoors, knitting, crafting, and making memories with her family. In addition to her veterinary work, Dr. Kramer is also the proud co-owner of our Crozet location, where she combines her expertise and community spirit to better serve local families and their pets.





Veterinarian
Dr. Adam Sirk brings fresh perspectives and a lifelong passion for animal care.
Dr. Adam Sirk is a 2023 graduate of the Virginia-Maryland College of Veterinary Medicine at Virginia Tech. Before veterinary school, he earned his undergraduate degree in Animal and Nutritional Sciences from West Virginia University. Growing up on his family's farm in Moorefield, West Virginia, Dr. Sirk developed a lifelong love for animals β he began working at a local veterinary hospital in high school and continued gaining experience throughout college.
Dr. Sirk's professional interests include reproduction, feline medicine, and internal medicine. He is especially passionate about providing personalized, high-quality care that supports both pets and their families.
Dr. Sirk recently moved to Charlottesville, where he shares his home with his two cats, Hila and Ada. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time outdoors and returning home to help with his family's farm. His hobbies include cooking, crocheting, gardening, hiking, and kayaking.





Exotic Animal Specialist
Dr. Jagger brings over a decade of emergency medicine experience and a special passion for avian and exotic animal care.
Raised in Charlottesville, Dr. Jagger earned her undergraduate degree in Biology from Virginia Tech before completing her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine at Kansas State University in 2006. After graduation, she returned home and spent more than a decade practicing emergency and urgent care medicine. In 2020, she was mentored by a board-certified avian specialist, further developing her expertise in avian and exotic animal medicine.
Dr. Jagger is especially passionate about avian and exotic animal medicine, and she loves helping families care for their non-traditional pets. With her unique background and years of emergency medicine experience, she brings advanced knowledge and compassionate care to every case.
Dr. Jagger lives near Fishersville with her husband, son, and daughter. Their home is a lively one, shared with a golden retriever, three cats, a bearded dragon, two finches, an African Grey parrot, and numerous freshwater fish.





Fear Free Certified Veterinarian, Crozet
Dr. Sophie Vallely is committed to making every visit as stress-free as possible.
Dr. Sophie Vallely graduated from the Washington State University College of Veterinary Medicine in May 2023. Originally from Connecticut, she earned her Bachelor's in Anthropology and Public Relations with a minor in Art from the University of Denver in 2011. After eight adventurous years in Wyoming β from public relations to a dude ranch, ski seasons in Jackson Hole, and her own farmer's-market food business β she discovered her passion for veterinary medicine while working at a small animal clinic in Sheridan, WY.
Dr. Vallely's interests include feline medicine, surgery, dentistry, internal medicine, radiology/ultrasonography, and veterinary business management. She is a certified Fear Free Professional and implements Fear Free strategies to reduce stress and improve the veterinary experience for her patients.
Dr. Vallely shares her life with her husband, two black cats (Goose and Wilson), and a heeler mix named Madi. In her free time she enjoys drawing, cooking, outdoor activities, and putting silly hats on her cats β much to their playful dismay. Family ties brought her to Charlottesville, and she is thrilled to join the Crozet team.





Veterinarian
Dr. Megan Badger brings expertise in internal medicine, surgery, and geriatric care.
Dr. Megan Badger is a 2025 graduate of Saint George's University School of Veterinary Medicine in Grenada, West Indies, and completed her clinical rotations at Virginia Tech. She began her veterinary education during the COVID-19 pandemic, studying online from California before relocating to Grenada with her Golden Retriever, McGee. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology from Northern Arizona University.
Dr. Badger's professional interests include internal medicine, surgery, and geriatric pet care. Her early experiences working in veterinary hospitals throughout college solidified her lifelong commitment to helping animals.
Dr. Badger recently relocated to Charlottesville with her two cats, Midge and Frankie, and her Golden Retriever, McGee. Outside of veterinary medicine, she enjoys cooking, hiking, and spending time with her family.





Veterinarian
Dr. Lina is a Charlottesville native carrying on her family's veterinary legacy.
A Charlottesville native, Dr. Lina grew up surrounded by animals, medicine, and mentorship β her parents were beloved veterinarians in the community. She earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Virginia before completing her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine at Virginia Tech. After practicing in Nashville, she returned home to carry on her family's legacy of compassionate care.
Dr. Lina is passionate about strengthening the human-animal bond and blends medical excellence with heartfelt empathy in every patient interaction. Her goal is to provide both pets and their families with the highest level of care and understanding.
When she's not in the clinic, Dr. Lina enjoys hiking with her dog, Jubilee, baking delicious treats, and tending to her garden. As part of Old Dominion Animal Hospital, she continues her family's tradition of service, compassion, and dedication to the Charlottesville community.

Meredith West started working at Old Dominion Charlottesville over a decade ago with her father, Dr. Charles H. Wood. She quickly became an integral part of our day-to-day functioning, and today she is the owner of our Charlottesville location.
When not working, Meredith enjoys spending time with her husband, Jared, and two daughters, Isabel and Aubree. Meredith is a proud pet parent to her dogs, Emma and Doc, and two cats.




Marketing & Communications
Kati leads the branding and marketing behind Old Dominion Animal Hospital.
Kati joined the family business following her marriage to Dr. Garrett in 2020. After graduating from Sweet Briar College in 2014, she worked in sales and marketing roles for senior living communities in Charlottesville. When Dr. Garrett and his partners purchased both locations in 2020, she left her corporate job to help with the re-branding and marketing. The rest is history!
When she is not working, Kati enjoys walking with their two dogs, Boone and Bentley, college football games, and serving at their church, The Point.
